St Peter’s naturally creates an environment where multiple generations are welcomed and interact with one another. We want to be intentional about encouraging this. We are also aware that there some age groups that are currently not well represented within our church community.

As well as welcoming people from across the age groups, St Peter’s community includes people of different ethnicities, nationalities and economic backgrounds. We are united through our faith in Jesus Christ and recognise that everyone has something to bring to our life together. We want to be open to how this diversity will shape our church life.

At St Peter’s we love to extend hospitality to one another and to visitors. We take every opportunity we can to share in tea, coffee and cake. As we share in hospitality, we become more open to each other. We believe that our hospitality is rooted in the hospitality that God shows to us, welcoming us to share in the life of the kingdom.

At St Peter’s we believe that Jesus has left us with a mission. We are sent out into the world to bring the good news of God’s kingdom to our communities and neighbourhoods through our words and actions. This is something that each of us is called to do individually. We are also exploring ways that we can do this together.

We long for everyone to have an encounter with Jesus that brings transformation in their life. Sometimes this a moment where everything changes, often it’s a process that takes time. We firmly believe that Jesus changes things. We want to provide opportunities for people to grow as disciples of Jesus, becoming more like him and experiencing more of the fullness of life that he offers.

We don’t believe that we should be working in isolation. Jesus Christ has one church – St Peter’s is one part of that. We want to connect with other churches across Walsall and be more involved in town centre events. Our clergy engage with Love Walsall and Walsall Deanery. Coalpool Community Church meet in St Peter’s Community Hall.
